Stand with Chatham Estates residents at the February 8 Cary Town Council meeting! CE residents will be turning out and making public comment to remind Town Council members about their concerns regarding their likely displacement due to the pending sale of the property, and to propose specific actions the Town can take in the short term to ensure fair treatment of all Chatham Estates residents.
Supporters are asked to attend in support of residents and to hold signs that include a simple message of support (signs will be provided to you).
Our goal is to present support without disrupting the meeting. For this reason, non-residents are asked to refrain from signing up to speak on their own initiative. This will honor the right of Chatham Estates residents to speak for themselves, will allow residents to deliver a clear message, and will ensure that the Town Council meeting is not unreasonably delayed due to high #'s of repetitive public comments.
Please register in advance receive more information about the specific message and proposals that residents will ask you to support during the meeting, as well as to get updates on important day-of logistics.
