When November 17, 2022 at 6:30pm 3 hrs

***ONE Wake organizer Katia Roebuck will be at the southern entrance (see map below) with signs for supporters, as well as sign-in sheets so we can record your attendance***

On Thursday, November 17 the Cary Town Council will hold a public hearing to discuss the Town's own rezoning request for 921 SE Maynard Rd, for the purpose of constructing a 126 unit mixed income multifamily development.

64 of the 126 units will be affordable for a period of 30 years: 25 units at 80% AMI; 26 at 50% AMI; and 13 units for households that hold housing choice vouchers. You can view the public hearing notice here

This is the final rezoning hearing for the property, and the second time it has been heard by Town Council. ONE Wake Cary leaders turned out to support the initial rezoning hearing in April, after which the proposal went to the Town's Planning and Zoning board. Now the proposal is headed back to the Town Council for a final decision.

This is an important opportunity to increase much needed affordable housing in Cary. Last time we sent 41 leaders to show support in-person. This time, let's send even more!!!

Will you come?
