The ONE Wake Clergy Caucus has ratified a proposal to support the Raleigh Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (RIMA) Prayer Walk for Social Justice on Saturday (June 6) at 4:30 pm. Our goal is to demonstrate solidarity, to honor the relationships that we have intentionally built across race over the last three years, and to be visible in this pivotal political moment in our county and nation.

ONE Wake will rally at the northeast corner of the surface parking lot in front of the Duke Center (the side close to the McDonalds) where we can get organized and stay distanced prior to the event. Please arrive early to ensure time to find parking. 

Please use your best judgment to decide if it would be safe for you to attend. If you are able to attend, please wear a mask, bring water, and remember to practice social distancing.

Prayer Walk for Social Justice at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium 
Saturday, June 6, 2020
Promoting Prayer, Social Justice and Unity

Raleigh, North Carolina, June 1, 2020 —The Raleigh Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (RIMA) will host a Prayer Walk for Social and Racial Justice.

The Prayer Walk will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the Duke Center for the Performing Arts located at 2 East South Street, Raleigh, NC 27601. From there we will walk down Fayetteville Street to the Old State Capitol grounds wherein those gathered will be addressed by faith leaders. Everyone is invited to gather at 4:30 pm, and the Prayer Walk will start at 5:00 pm.

The faith community of Raleigh and Wake County is interceding for social and racial justice across our global, national and local communities. Please join RIMA in walking and praying for social and racial justice. Please, no placards or signs containing profanity, obscenity or vulgarity [if you bring a sign, make sure that there is no stick attached].

Raleigh Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (RIMA) has been in existence over 75 years to provide an organizational environment that promotes unity in the body of Christ, provides encouragement and support, provides information resources for ministry, promotes prayer and fellowship and provides educational information for personal growth.
