When July 03, 2025 at 12:00pm 1 hr
Over the last year, we have listened to over 1,000 of our members share their stories, struggles, and hopes—especially around the crushing burden of housing costs in Wake County. Together, we took powerful collective action before the election to make housing a top public issue. Now, we are taking the next step.

On July 3, One Wake will gather on a piece of publicly owned land in Raleigh that our leaders have identified as a prime site for deeply affordable housing. This is our moment to claim this land for affordable housing. The Mayor of Raleigh has confirmed her attendance, and will share her vision about our request to use part of the land for homes our families can afford.

We will:
  • Bless this land as sacred and necessary
  • Plant a flag—literally and spiritually—to declare our intent to organize until housing is built here
  • Push our campaign forward with hundreds of organized people standing together in public

We’re asking every institution to turn out strong—because when we show up, we win.

Date & Time: July 3 at Noon
Location: Springfield Baptist Church,
4309 Auburn Knightdale Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610

This is a historic opportunity to move from listening to transformation—from stories to structures. Let’s show the Mayor that we’re not just asking—we are organizing.
Will you come?
