*This meeting is intended for experienced Core Team leaders and Clergy from ONE Wake institutions*
You're invited to join top leaders from ONE Wake institutions for an evaluation of our October 10 local candidate assembly and to help shape a powerful strategy for 2025!
During the candidate assembly on October 10, we collectively secured commitments from candidates for Raleigh City Council to increase local affordable housing funding from $30 million to $70 million, identify and designate 100 acres of land for affordable housing development, support our vision to build Nehemiah housing in Wake County, and to meet with us quarterly leading up to a second public assembly in fall 2025.
Regardless of who wins the local elections, we know that persistent action is essential to ensure that candidates follow through on these promises. At the conclusion of our assembly, ONE Wake institutions pledged to bring 200 members to an early '25 Board of County Commissioners meeting, and we’ve committed to meet with each newly elected or re-elected official by the first quarter of 2025. Following the assembly, top leaders involved with this campaign have also recommended a second 200-person action at an upcoming Raleigh City Council meeting.
Join us on November 19 to review the election results, refine our 2025 strategy for the Nehemiah housing campaign, and prepare for action early in the new year!
