***Please note the 5:00 pm start time of the meeting, and arrive early if possible.***

200 ONE Wake leaders plan on attending the Wake County Board of Commissioners' meeting on Monday night, in support of our affordable housing priorities at the county level.

Together we will call on the Wake County Board of Commissioners to raise the Department of Housing Affordability and Community Revitalization’s budget from $40 million to $60 million—a move that could also require a 2026 bond referendum, the first in the County's history. We will also address our priority to identify 100 acres of city, county, and state land to be designated and held for affordable housing development.

When you arrive, please keep your eyes out for ONE Wake leader(s) who will be positioned in the first floor lobby of the Justice Center, past the security checkpoint, near the stairs / elevators leading to the meeting chamber on the second floor. They will be handing out paper signs with a simple message of support for our priorities.

During the meeting, select ONE Wake leaders will make public comment in support of our priorities. We are limiting our speakers to three pre-selected, prepared leaders to ensure that our message is clear, and we respectfully ask others to not sign up on their own to speak. All supporters in attendance will be asked to stand during these comments so that the Commissioners can see the broad base of support in the room.

Will you come?
