Description

ONE Wake and our allies are calling on the Raleigh City Council and Wake County Commissioners to work with us to implement a new property tax assistance program for low income, long time homeowners who are at risk of displacement due to skyrocketing taxes.

ONE Wake is organizing a public meeting with City Council Members and County Commissioners on Thursday, October 21 at 6:30 pm. This will be a hybrid in-person / virtual meeting. For now, please use this page to RSVP for both options.

During our public meeting, we will hear testimony from homeowners directly impacted by this issue, present our proposed solution, and ask elected officials in attendance to publicly react (we will brief all participating officials in advance).
